American Idol Top 7- Why Do You Call Him Stefano?

Spoiler Alert...Below are the results and some thoughts on this week's episodes of American Idol. So before reading any further, watch the eps, call a diva a diva, then read what I have to say.

Sometimes when watching American Idol, it can be hard to imagine how some of your least favorites gain any votes. Who in their right mind would place votes for Stefano or Jacob? How did they make it this far? But then you run into a marketing director from Campbell University who says they can't believe that Stefano went home this week on American Idol because "it was his best yet."

Let's break this down. Not only did this person actually enjoy watching Stefano on the show, and was now upset that he had been eliminated, but he thought that him dancing around the stage oooing and ahhhing was his best performance of the season. I'm not a Stefano fan, but he has been okay on occasion. Last night was terrible! He did no singing, and it was well past his time to leave.

The rest of the real bottom three was Jacob and Haley. Silly. The rest of my bottom three was Jacob and Scotty. I fell asleep during Jacob's song, and he should be leaving next week, but Haley was once again fantastic. Now that Paul is gone, she is my favorite, and I hope to watch her make it to the top four. I say four, because there is no stopping Scotty, James and Lauren from being the final three.

Scotty was extra smirky this week. I can't even pay attention to his singing anymore, because I'm just watching his eyebrows move up and down constantly. Casey and Durbin were the only other two that I enjoyed this week, while Lauren was once again just run of the mill. She's not good, but she's not awful like a few of the others.

30 Rock 520 & 521 Review- TV Ruined Reputation

Jack- "Do you have any idea how much paper work I'd have to do if you shot Kenneth?"
Although the writers of TGS's 100th episode were high on gas when putting it all together, the writers of 30 Rock's "100th Episode" obviously were not. This was a well constructed hour long episode filled with a multitude of hilarious guest stars.

While it was not anywhere near a clips show, they did manage to bring back some of the funniest moments of the series, as many of the characters flashed back to memories of the first 99 episodes. I know you were all cheering when Liz looked back at the time she played Princess Leia on jury duty.

Although they spent some time looking back, things were also moving forward, as Tracy attempted to re-ruin his reputation, Jack tried to figure out if he wanted to stay at NBC, Jenna thought about becoming a mother, and Liz battled with an ex that wanted back in her life.

The Office 720 Review- 9,986,000 Minutes

Michael- "That Phyllis bit...that was pretty good right?"
It was the last time Michael Scott will ever host the Dundies, and it was the second to last night that Michael Scott will ever be on television. It might not have been as great as a few others this season, but "Michael's Last Dundies" was both funny and sweet, which made it a perfect penultimate episode for Steve Carrell.

On the heels of hearing news that Jim Carrey will be guest starring in the season finale, it seems most important to once again analyze how Will Ferrell performed in his second appearance. He definitely wasn't as hilarious as in "Training Day," but added a few laughs here and there, especially in his inability to perform in front of people.

Whether it was just complete misses like "you need a key chain," or the most inappropriate banter of all time in "Where were you on September 11th?" I lost it on a couple of occasions thank to Deangelo Vickers. But this most important thing that Will Ferrell did, was not distract from yet another fabulous performance by Steve Carrell on his way out the door.

Survivor Week 11- Divorce Court

Spoiler Alert...Below are the results and a few thoughts from last night's Survivor: Redemption Island. So before reading any further, watch the ep, get racial about rice, then read what I have to say.

I am currently on the road so I don't really have the time to discuss how awesome Agent Phil was last night. All I will do is say that I can't believe that my colleague Luke at TV Fanatic actually complained about the Phillip's performance last night in his review of the episode. His battle with Steve did hijack the episode, but all for the good of entertainment my friends, all for the good of phantom racism entertainment.

Justified 211 Review- I Want Out

The first season of Justified was really about how terrific Timothy Olyphant was as Deputy Marshal Raylan Givens. Conversely, this second season really has been about how great everyone around Olyphant has been.

Whether it was Margo Martindale's Mags, Walton Goggins' Boyd, or even Nick Searcy's Art in that one episode, the supporting cast has been fantastic this year.

In "Full Commitment" it was Jeremy Davies turn to shine, as his Dickie Bennett truly did fully commit to his goal of being in charge in Harlan County, and Davies himself fully committed to the role of an absolute sociopath.

Dickie really is his mother's son, in that he possesses that same ability to turn from extremely nice to extremely evil with a snap of the finger. Whether it was cheering up his new henchman Bass when he missed the target every time in shooting practice, or hobnobbing with Rodney the Memphis weed man, Dickie can be as fun as they come.

One Tree Hill 818 Review - Be Good To Your Daughters

Brooke- "We need a name. Our baby's gonna be born without a name."
Julian- "Oops."
It has been over a month and a half since One Tree Hill has aired a new episode, which is why I found it strange that it seemed like over half of "Quiet Little Voices" was footage from seasons past.

On the one hand, you could say that the numerous flashbacks were a great way of cutting corners so they didn't have to shoot new footage. On the other hand, many of the flashbacks they used were fantastic at building the emotion of the characters.

For me, they were mostly a time to relive the glory days of One Tree Hill. You know, the days of the overbearing father and a young couple falling in love. Oh and a pimply faced James Lafferty that had not yet learned how to act. Those were the days people.

I'm not entirely sure what the point was of a couple of those Quinn flashbacks, but the Haley/Nathan and Brooke/Julian flashbacks served two specific roles, each working perfectly in its own right.

Chuck 421 Review- Confidence Man

Jack- "I hope now that you can have all the adventures you ever wanted with a man far better than me."
I don't care how many TV On My Terms articles Jeffrey Kirkpatrick writes speaking ill of Chuck, a good way of getting things back on track is to have an episode featuring Sarah's daddy issues, and guest starring Gary Cole.

In his most recent commentary, my colleage Mr. Kirkpatrick mentioned that "Even some of the most diehard Chuck fans begrudgingly admit its not as good as it was two seasons ago." I sadly have to agree with his assertion. I am a die hard fan, but over the course of this season Chuck has lost a bit of its luster.

Did "Chuck Versus the Wedding Planner" change that entirely? No, but it was a fun episode, if not the rebirth of quality story telling on Chuck. Sarah's problems with her father, which lead to dramatic scenes by Yvonne Strahovski, are certainly always some of the best stories on the series.

So before we take a look at how the Chuck Triple Threat played out this week, give somebody a "spy high five."

The Borgias 104 Review- Wedding Spells

Della Rovere- "Can one spill blood to rid the world of a greater evil?"
Although "Lucrezia's Wedding" was the second straight episode in which The Borgias failed to prove itself as an excellent series, there continue to be a couple of interesting elements that give the show promise as we get into the heart of its first season.

The first is François Arnaud. His Cesare Borgia is really the only intriguing character up to this point. Equal parts compassionate and conniving, everything he does immediately becomes interesting, especially as he surprised everyone by bringing Vanozza to the wedding party. Sure, he was doing it to make his mother and sister happy, but he also knew that it was going to ruffle some feathers, and I like that about him.

And ruffle some feathers it did, which is the other element of promise. They are doing a commendable job at attempting to create interesting long-running plots. So far, some of them have missed and some of them have kind of hit, but at least they're making the effort. Take, for example, this idea of Vanozza's past as a whore. It caused Rodrigo to disallow her from the wedding, which led to that one guy making a scene at the party, and eventually led to Lucrezia getting scolded and raped by her new husband.
