This is Daniel Tosh's first nomination and win for the best late night talk show host of the season.  Here to let you know how Tosh has been killing it on Comedy Central these days, is Poolie voter Rizzo.

Daniel Tosh is the man. He makes jokes so offensive you sometimes wonder how he is even allowed to say the things he does. His stand up comedy is hilarious and he brings all of that to Tosh.O. He is in the middle of a twitter war with Rod Dydrek, and although Rob seems like a good dude, Tosh absolutely murdered him with this bit. For those of you who don't know, Rob is in the middle of a shitty show that tries to emulate Tosh.O.  It also features the most annoying and horrible chick on planet earth. She thinks she is hot, tough, a great singer and funny. She is not even remotely close to being any of these things.

Another bit that was great was his improv tweet and greet at ASU. Not a lot of comedians could make this so good. I guess this would be a good time to mention that none of his original content is on youtube, that's the worst.

A great way to gauge someone is to google their name and then hit the spacebar and see what auto fills. For "Tosh.O is" you get "... racist" and "...he gay". That's how you know he is doing something right.

Everyone loves watching viral videos, and the internet has 100 new good ones a day. Tosh does a great job of putting it all together and making it one of the finniest shows on TV.

I leave you with what is probably my favorite viewer video of the week ever.

The Johnny Carson Award- Late Night Host

Named For: Johnny Carson (The Tonight Show)
Awarded To: The best late night show host
2009 Winner: Saturday Night Live [Best Late Night/Variety Show]
2010 Winner: Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien [Best Late Night Talk Show]

Place. Nominee (Series) Points (My Vote)

5. Norm MacDonald (Sports Show) 4 points (3rd)

4. Steven Colbert (Colbert Report) 7 points

3. Conan O'Brien (Conan) 8 points

2. Joel McHale (The Soup) 10 points (1st)

and the Poolie goes to...

1. Jimmy Fallon (Late Night) 11 points (2nd)

This is technically Jimmy Fallon's second Poolie nomination, counting last year's nom for Late Night, and his first ever win for the best late night show host.

Finally people are starting to catch on.  Jimmy Fallon is a stud on Late Night.  He was absolutely awful back on Saturday Night Live, but he has been killing from day one after taking over for Conan.  Whether it is Lost parodies or attempting to get a Saved by the Bell Reunion together, Fallon is certainly deserving of this award.

Spring Poolies Watch- Reality and Others

With only two months left in the Poolies season, it's time to take another look at how things are shaking out before the final ballots are released on June 1st. Here's your chance to agree or disagree with the chairman in order to give whatever show or character tickled your fancy this year a shot at glory. Next up are the reality awards along with a few others, let's take a look around the pool...
The Battle of the Network Stars Award For Best Reality Competition Series

Definites
Big Brother, Top Chef, Survivor, American Idol, The Amazing Race, and The Sing Off. Nothing to see here folks. Keep moving.

In For Now
Bachelor Pad, Ultimate Catch, America’s Got Talent, and The Bachelor. Sometimes I think about switching this award to only five nominees, but then I think about getting rid of one of the six above and realize that is not possible. With The Voice and X-Factor on the way, it seems even less possible.

The Terry Fator Award For Best Male Reality Competition Contestant

Definites
Enzo (Big Brother), Hayden (Big Brother), Richard Blais (Top Chef All-Stars), Morgan (Top Chef Desserts), and Phil Sheppard (Survivor Redemption Island). Morgan’s hatred of Zac, who you’ll find on the most hated list in a bit, was ultimately what made him a definite.

In For Now
Kevin (Top Chef), Lane (Big Brother), Jesse Kovacs (Bachelor Pad), Zev and Justin (Amazing Race 18), and Paul McDonald (American Idol). Unlike with the scripted series, there is a lot of time left for reality contestants to make their moves. No one is safe, but these five are even less safe.

Outside Looking In
Fabio (Survivor Nicaragua), Mike Isabella (Top Chef All-Stars), Boston Rob (Survivor Redemption Island), Flight Time and Big Easy (Amazing Race 18), David Good (Bachelor Pad), and Jet and Cord (Amazing Race 18).

The Kellie Pickler Award For Best Female Reality Competition Contestant

Definites
Britney (Big Brother), Tara (Ultimate Catch), Brenda (Survivor Nicaragua), and Natalie (Bachelor Pad). If you watched Big Brother, you’re voting Britney number one. If you didn’t, you should watch one episode, so that you will have reason to vote her number one.

In For Now
Lauren Alaina (American Idol), Mallory (Amazing Race 18), Danielle (Top Chef Just Desserts), Amanda (Top Chef), Haley Reinhart (American Idol), and Ashley Underwood (Survivor Redemption Island). As always, this is a tough category to fill out, which causes me to think about adding judges and hosts to the category. Then I always nix that idea.

Outside Looking In
Monet (Big Brother), Kelly (Top Chef), Peyton (Bachelor Pad), Nat and Kat (Amazing Race 17), and Andrea Boehlke (Survivor Redemption Island). I don’t like any of these people.

The Crazy James Zinkand Award For the Reality Competition Contestant You Love to Hate

Definites
Rachel (Big Brother), Ragan (Big Brother), Zac (Top Chef Just Desserts), Jane (Survivor Nicaragua), and Gia (Bachelor Pad). The reality awards are worth it if only for this category. There are so many contestants that I can’t stand, but these five definitely took the cake over the course of the year for me.

In For Now
Alex (Top Chef), Wes (Bachelor Pad), NaOnka (Survivor Nicaragua), Ralph (Survivor Redemption Island), and Jacob Lusk (American Idol). Lots to hate on the most recent seasons of Survivor and American Idol. Give these guys time and they’ll make their way to the top.

Outside Looking In
James Durbin (American Idol), Naima Adedapo (American Idol), Brook and Claire (Amazing Race 17), Carla Hall (Top Chef All Stars), Margie and Luke (Amazing Race 18), and Holly (Survivor Nicaragua). And there were more! Keep the hate coming.

The Johnny Carson Award For Best Late Night Host

In For Now
Jimmy Fallon
Joel McHale
Conan O'Brien
Daniel Tosh
Steven Colbert

Outside Looking In
Jon Stewart
David Letterman
Jay Leno

The Chris Farley Award For Best Sketch Performer

In For Now
Bill Hader
Fred Armisen
Kenan Thompson
Kristen Wiig
Jason Sudeikus

Outside Looking In
Jay Pharoah
Bobby Moynihan
Andy Samberg

The Flintstones Award For Best Animated Series

In For Now
Family Guy
South Park
The Ricky Gervais Show
The Simpsons
Archer

The Johnny Carson Award- Late Night Talk Show

Named For: Johnny Carson, host of The Tonight Show from 1962-92
Awarded To: Best late night talk show from June 1, 2009 - May 31, 2010
Last Year's Winner: Saturday Night Live (late night/variety)

Place. Show (Network) Points (My Vote)

5. The Colbert Report (Comedy Central) 7 points

4. Jimmy Kimmel Live (ABC) 8 points (3rd)

3. Late Night with Jimmy Fallon (NBC) 10 points (1st)

Runner-Up
2. The Daily Show with Jon Stewart (Comedy Central) 15 points

and the Poolie goes to...
1. The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien (NBC) 18 points (2nd)
Although I voted for Jimmy Fallon first in this category, I find it only fitting that Conan O'Brien and the rest of the Tonight Show crew took the second annual Jonny Carson Award. Named after the king of The Tonight Show, Coco receives this recognition after taking the big stage and losing it shortly after.

By this point we all know the ins and outs of what happened between Conan, Jay Leno, and NBC this year. Having said that, it's worth noting that Conan came out smelling like roses, while the other two have garnered much hatred from fans all over. That is surely a credit to Coco's personality on and off of late night.

Sure his Tonight Show wasn't as good as his longer stint as the host of Late Night, but he was certainly good enough to earn this award. And as an award that (as chairman of the Poolie Awards) I might scrap next year, I will be pleased to know that Coco won the only true late night award of the Quiet Pool Television Awards.

Poolies Watch- The Johnny Carson Award

With all of the late night craziness that has been going on recently, I figured is was a good time to take a look at the Johnny Carson Award for best Late Night/Variety Series. So Leno at 10:00 p.m. didn't work, but who's gonna watch a late night type of show when they're not really ready to fall asleep yet. Isn't that what late night talk is for? As much as I've loved NBC over past five years, they're slowly starting to kill me. How could they push Conan out? Leno at 11:35, Conan at 12:05? That would never work for either guy. Why wouldn't Conan go to fox if that were the case? And if he does, why not go on at 11:00 and beat the crowd. Fox does their news at 10:00 so what is he taking the place of? Seinfeld repeats? I think it would be a good move.

The Johnny Carson Award has been upped to 10 nominees this year and it's not really fair that the rest of these guys are in a category with Saturday Night Live. It should runaway with the category and retain its crown.

League of its Own
Saturday Night Live

I could give or take any of the next five, although Letterman and The Soup would be towards the end of the group for me. Call me an idiot, but Leno's monologue does it for me every time. Conan could just do his silly dance moves and he'd be in my top five, and it has already been well documented that I now love the way Fallon cracks himself up during his show (not to mention his valiant attempt at a Saved by the Bell reunion).

The Pack
The Jay Leno Show
Late Night with Jimmy Fallon
Late Show with David Letterman
The Tonight Show
The Soup

I still have never gotten into the high brow comedy shows of Comedy Central. I have no desire to ever attempt to watch the Daily Show or the Colbert Report, but their reputations precede them so they receive nominations from me. Chelsea Handler is extremely off or on for me, but mostly off. And I've never enjoyed Kimmel, but he gets the nod thanks to Cousin Sal.

Hanging On
Chelsea Lately
The Colbert Report
The Daily Show with Jon Stewart
Jimmy Kimmel Live

Are there any other sketch shows on tv these days? Anything else I'm missing?
